HABIB

Afsana Habib is a contemporary Azerbaijani artist based in Baku whose work explores beauty, mystery, and the symbolic language of visual culture. Drawing inspiration from classical aesthetics, architecture, and the theatrical traditions of Europe, she creates paintings that merge refined craftsmanship with poetic imagination.
A graduate of the Azerbaijan University of Economics, Habib later devoted herself fully to art and developed her practice under the mentorship of renowned Azerbaijani painter Sakit Mammadov. While influenced by the principles of Opalism, she established her own artistic language distinguished by luminous color, elegance of form, and narrative depth.
Her works have been exhibited internationally in Paris, Rome, London, Moscow, Brussels, Tbilisi, and other cultural centers. Through recurring themes of identity, memory, and transformation, Afsana Habib invites viewers into imaginative worlds where beauty serves as both a visual experience and a philosophical inquiry.
